2 MUCH

Well, I know certain fans of fishingnotcatching are looking forward to Clerks 2, but I have to admit, I've watched the preview for it about 5-6 times and smell a huge bomb.

I mean, with know K. Smith's inconsistency with films (Clerks great, Mallrats terrible, Chasing Amy great, Dogma: didn't see it, Jersey Girl, pure stench, Jay & Silent Bob: didn't see it, heard it's good) you have to wonder.

Also, his semi-recent marriage with Jay Leno and the Tonight Show cause me great concern about this dude. That, plus the fact that he's obviously run out of ideas by going with a sequel, cause me great concern.

Anway, I'm just making a prediction that it will suck. I've been wrong before.

I'm getting the same feeling about Clerks 2, though your every-other-movie theory is false.

Yes, the original Clerks and Chasing Amy were amazing. And yes, compared to the rest of Kevin Smith's films, Mallrats blew moose cock. But Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back kicked ass, Dogma is my favorite movie of all time, and I even enjoyed Jersey Girl (I dig anything Liv Tyler is in), though you can't really lump it in with his other movies.

I just wonder if the acting is going to be as bad as the first Clerks.

And looking at that preview, I'm wondering....could Dante mix in a salad or something now and then?

I don't know if it's true, but a buddy of mine said that the only reason Clerks 2 was made was as part of a deal to get Jay into rehab. I've seen the preview too, and it looks like pure shite.

I might be the only person around who enjoys Mallrats, although it was easily the worst of his movies.

I enjoyed Mallrats, but it definitely was his worst...

And the Clerks II/Jay rehab thing is 100 percent true. I heard it straight from Kevin Smith's mouth (on TV, not in person).
